While not a “fun” fact, it is factual none-the-less:  The Trail of Tears National Historic Trail enters Kentucky at Guthrie and passes through Trenton on its way to Hopkinsville and beyond.  During the 1838-39 Trail of Tears migration, Cherokee Indians camped on the grounds at Gray’s Inn (Stage Coach Inn) in Guthrie, which is a designated site along the northern migration route.
